Giving Extra Thought To Gift Giving, Choosing Something Unusual
Most of us love a bit of retail therapy when given half a chance. The only time when uncertainty creeps in is when we are tasked with the impossible – buying the perfect gift for our beloveds, or our mothers. For most ladies of a certain age and above, there are a couple of really good solutions. Buying an experience day or feature. Depending on the pocket and the type of recipient, an afternoon tea at one of the local heritage houses is a greand starter. They cannot fail to be impressed, particularly if the buyer offers to take them and share in the spoils. This does however mean an expensive extra person. Mind you, it is much cheaper than buying dinner at a restaurant or pub for a family. Another idea is a cooking evening – there are several folk locally who advertise speciality dishes which are demonstrated whilst you cook along with the chef. This is often a brilliant present for the adventurous husband or son in law. They will come back fired up with enthusiasm and probably take over much of the mundaneness of regular cooking!
