Holiday Packing Whims Governed By Baggage Allowances

Thing have definitely changed over the last few years as far as baggage allowance for flying holidays.   Some package holiday companies allow up to 3 checked in bags each, so long as none weighs more than 32kg.  For families with childrens, the weight allowances are critical as babies need so much equipment.  Obviously paprents will expct to be able to buy paper nappies locally and formula milk if necessary.  It is only in the most isolated parts of the globe where these are not available.

Parents nowadays get much better luggage deals but somehow this has to be accommodated in terms of climate concerns.  The heavier the plane load, the more fuel it will use and the more ‘exhaust fumes’ will be guffed out into the atmosphere.   This is one of the arguments put forward by the major players in the budget airline industry.   One particular company is rigorous with their luggage check ins and carry on limits.  Some times it can feel as though it’s just to improve their profit margins though.  As a regular flyer with a budget airline, I am very used to having to contain myself and desperately try to reduce my exess whims!
