One of life’s dilemmas I think I’ve sold is how to keep the weight down in my main holiday suitcase.  I have purchased and used several time now, the very cheapest make of case that is readily and abundently available in the cheaper end of the retail market.   i did have a nice maroon one that weights just of 3 kg empty and it was pretty roomy.  This always led me to over pack because I could!  Of course, we all take masses of clothing on holiday.   Men are bad enough but the wife or girlfriend manages even more.  I invariably take back three or four things that never got worn and the extra shoes !  So now that I have replaced my earlier cheapo suitcase with yet another, lighter one that’s amazingly even bigger.  I will have to be careful not to pack with too much as the case can be a bit difficult to get inside the boot or back seat of my car as it becomes a rather unwieldy beast.
